So last week I began this blog with a little intro into my television obsession and I thought it would be a little while before I tackled the topic again, but here we are and again I am talking about t.v. This week I am going to let you in on a secret...I love cheesy t.v. I love it. I would probably give up my roommates right arm so I could continue watching it. I could watch it everyday, every hour and maybe every minute. My love began at a young age with such classics as Today's Special, Punky Brewster, and Small Wonder. Oh it was great. I was in heaven. It couldn't get better. But then it did with the introduction of four little letters T*G*I*F. I couldn't believe my luck...hours on t.v. devoted to great cheesy t.v. families on Friday nights. Pop the popcorn and pour me a diet pepsi 'cus we are *in* for the night. This is were my little list for the week will begin. *Please note that not all the shows are from TGIF.
1. Full House
Probably the best cheesy t.v. family EVER! I love this show. I think I have watched every episode at least four times. I want an uncle Jesse...wait I don't. If he is my uncle I can't drool over him. Remember the one with the relatives from Greece??? Classic.
2. Boy Meets World
The show that introduced us to Cory, Shawn, Topanga, Eric, Mr. Feeny, and the cool Mr. Turner. This show is pure bliss. My roommate got the first two seasons on DVD. I am so excited....I feel a marathon coming on!!!
3. The Cosby Show
Seriously Bill Cosby can do no wrong. He has the perfect family, a thriving Ob-gyn practice and "kids say the darndest things". He is just a pillar of classic t.v. I used to wish I could be neighbors with the Cosby's. It would great. I could go visit and play with Rudy and Vanessa. I do not like the new Cosby Show. Don't confuse the two shows as they are very different.
4. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
I only have one thing to say...theme song.
5. That 70s Show
Best.show.ever. Wisconsin was never so cool. I spent every night watching re-runs of this show. I feel like Eric, Donna, Hyde, Jackie, Kelso and Fez are my friends. I lived my life through these characters. If you haven't watched it you should.
6. Saved by the Bell
When I was little I used to want to marry Zack. He is just so cute. I love him. I want to cast to reunite. The world would once again be whole. Dear cast and producers Please have a reunion. I will love you forever. Thanks, Jillian Baker
7. Growing Pains/Family Ties
In my head I have a hard time separating these two shows. I know they are different, but I am always confusing the two shows. With that said I still love both of these shows.
the end.

The beginning
I really hate beginning a new blog. I never know what to say or how to begin. It feels really awkward. With that said I will just begin. I have made a goal to become a blogger. This is a huge step for me. In the past I only blogged because I was forced. Now I am doing it by choice. I want my blog to be simple and contain little parts of me. With that in mind I am going to blog once a week and include a list of 7 things that mean something to me. I figure writing 52 blogs is manageable and not scary. Also a list of 7 seems perfect. 5 is to little and 10 is too big. 7 is just right.
For those of you who know me well might think that I would begin a new year on a bit of a downer...but no. I didn't want this blog to loss readers on the first post. So my 7 this week (insert drum roll) will be my favorite television shows. I was inspired by the Modern Family marathon I held this week. Please remember this list is in no particular order and may change three minutes after I post.
1. Modern Family...this show can do no wrong...oh wait it did. Lily was replaced this season by a older talking model and I do NOT like it. The new Lily, or NL as I will call her, is snotty and not funny. Poor choice "experts." Other than that one minor problem I love Modern Family. The pilot episode is still my favorite. I have to pause as I am watching it because I am laughing too hard to continue watching. If you haven't watched Modern Family please do. You can send gifts of thanks (money only) directly to my account in the Cayman Islands.
2. The Office...No joke my workplace is just like Dunder Mifflin/Sabre. I have a crazy boss who is my Michael and the rest of the cast is present and accounted for. Everyday is a hilarious struggle. A few of my co-workers and I want to write a script. I am pretty sure it would get picked up by a major network.
3. Glee...I must admit that I haven't been watching season 3, but I will get caught up. With that said...the music alone is a good enough reason for this show to be on my list. I can't get enough! I listen to it all the time and it always makes me happy. I might miss the show, but I never miss buying the music.
4. The Voice...One name Javier. That is the one and only reason I started watching this show. I love Javier. I will always love Javier. I am currently listening to a selection of songs from the first season in my car. I just hope the second season is as good as the first. The Voice also helped me fall in love with Adam Lavine and Cee Lo Green. Props to the producers.
5. Hot in Cleveland...Go ahead and laugh, but I love this show. It is classic. It always makes me laugh. All I ask is that you try it before you knock it. We all know Betty White can do no wrong. Just accept it.
6. King of Queens...Although I never watched this show until the re-runs began to air I love it. I own every season and can watch any episode. It never gets old. I have watch some episodes ten or so times and I still love it. Favorite episode...Doug on a stripper pole. Classic.
7. Friends...Another classic that never gets old. I have watched every episode 6.9 times and I still love it. The cast is perfect. The comedy is spot-on. It has everything. I miss Chandler, Ross, Joey, Phoebe, Rachel and Monica. Why can't they come back? America needs Friends. I should write NBC a letter and convince them to bring Friends back. I have some free time this week. Its a plan.
Wow...that was easier than I thought. One down, 51 to go. I think my love of t.v. helped. If you are disappointed with my choices I feel a classic television list might make its way on to the blog. I am currently thinking on what shows should be on the list.
